To me, the answer is without a doubt - YES. However, some well-meaning people are saying (and announcing to the public) that it is a myth. They have stated that "although methamphetamine is derived from products that are 90% poisons, meth itself is not a poison".
poi•son [ póyz'n ]
noun (plural poi•sons)
Definitions:
1. toxic substance: a substance that causes illness, injury, or death if taken into the body or produced within the body 2. negative influence: something that exercises a powerful destructive or corrupting force, especially in an insidious way.
To me, that defines meth. Meth causes injury - There have been instances of people having chemical burns in their throats from smoking meth, blisters in their mouths from eating meth straight out of the bag, and damage to the lining of the nose from snorting meth. Meth causes illness - Long term meth use damages the liver, kidneys, brain, heart, lungs, and decays teeth among other physical and mental health consequences. Also, meth can cause death from the illnesses and overdose. It is poisonous to mind, body, and soul.
I would appreciate any opinions. Thank you.
